خلال الأيام الماضية، تداولت رسالة تحذير من ممارسات يعتمدها مؤخراً عناصر قوى الأمن الداخلي لتوقيف وإهانة وابتزاز أشخاص مثليين/ات في شوارع بيروت وضواحيها، أو عبر استخدام تطبيقات خاصة بالمثليين/ات.
ما يلي، شهادة نشرها أحد الذين تعرضوا لمثل هذه المضايقات والتهديدات في منطقة البيال، في 7 كانون الثاني الحالي:
مساء السبت، حوالي منتصف الليل، ركنت سيارتي في منطقة البيال، وجلست مع صديقي للتحدث. لاحقاً في تلك الليلة، توقفت سيارة شرطة، نزل منها شرطيان وبدآ في تفتيشنا وتفتيش السيارة بحثاً عن المخدرات والحشيش. على الرغم من أننا لم نفعل أي شيء، إلّا أنّهما أصرا على التفتيش…
بعد حين، عادت وتوقفت سيارة الشرطة ذاتها وفي داخلها الشرطيين نفسهما. فتحا بابي وبدآ في مناداتنا «بالسحاقيات» والبحث (مرة أخرى) عن المخدرات، قائلين وبنبرة عالية، أشياء مثل «وين المخدرات» و«صرنا ملقطين كتير متلكن»، كما باشرا بتفتيش جيوبنا. هددانا بالاتصال بـ «الآداب» وبوضعنا في السجن.
في النهاية، أخذا محفظتينا «للتحقق من هويتنا»، واستوليا على الأموال التي بحوزتنا… كان لدى صديقي حوالي 2 مليون ليرة لبنانية.
حتى أنهما صادرا مظلتين من سيارتي. قال أحدهما «هو حلوين رح عطيُن لبنتي». غادرا بعد 15 دقيقة من المضايقة والتهديد.
لم يكن لدي النية بالتكلم عما حدث، نظراً لغرابته. لكن في الأيام القليلة التي مضت، لاحظت حدوث أشياء مماثلة لأشخاص آخرين في بيروت. ارفع صوتك الآن، فهو دائماً مفيد.
Internal security forces track LGBTQ people in Beirut
During the past days, a message was circulated, alerting of practices recently adopted by members of the Internal Security Forces, to arrest, humiliate, and blackmail gay people in the streets of Beirut and its suburbs, or by using use of gay specific apps.
The following is a testimony published by someone who was subjected to such harassment and threats in the Biel region, on the 7th of January:
on Saturday night, at around midnight, i parked my car in the Biel area with a friend to talk. at some point during the night, a police car pulls up and two policemen started searching us and the car, looking for drugs and weed. we clearly werent doing anything but they insisted on searching the car…
a few moments later, the same police car pulled up, same two policemen. they opened my door and started calling us “lesbians”, looking (again) for drugs and being vocal about it, saying things like “wen el moukhadarat” and “serna la2tin ktir metelkoun”, and even looking in our pockets. they threatened to call “adeb” and put us in jail. at the end, they took both of our wallets to “check ids”, and took all the money we had… my friend had around 2,000,000 LBP on him. they even went their way to grab two umbrellas from my car and one of them bluntly said “ho helwin rah aatiyoun la bnte”. they left after a good 15 minutes of harassment and threatening.
i wasnt going to talk about the situation, weirded out by what had happened. but in the last few days, i noticed similar things had been happening to other people in Beirut as well. speak up now, its never not helpful.
