لا بد أن الصحافية نوال نصر، وهي كاتبة تحقيقات في جريدة نداء الوطن، تبحث عن التميز في عملها. وتجتهد بجد من أجل ذلك. وإلا كيف لنا أن نفسر تفوقها على آخرين، هم/ن زملاء لها في المهنة، لغة وأسلوباً ومضموناً، في تعبيرها عن عنصريتها وكراهيتها لا للاجئات/ين السوريات/ين فحسب، وإن كانوا فعلاً في مركز اهتمامها وقلقها، بل العاملات الأجنبيات ومعدومي/ات الحال والفلسطينيين/ات أيضاً.

لكن القتلة لا يُردعون. ميريام الأشقر، ريا الشدياق، جوزف طوق، إيلي متى… واللائحة تطول تطول… والمرتكبون سوريون. بالصدفة أم تخطيط وإجرام؟ السوريون – بعض السوريين – الضعفاء قد يصبحون وحوشاً مفترسين إذا أتيحت لهم الفرصة وإذا كانوا يشعرون بالحقد على الحياة والمجتمع. والمصيبة، في كل مرة، تكمن في صمت الأخيار لا فقط في ظلم الأشرار!

تعلمنا أن نقول عن مجرم إقترف جريمة: إرتكب المجرم جرمه، لا أن نقول: إرتكب سوري أو فلسطيني أو أميركي أو فرنسي أو لبناني أو عراقي جرماً. لأن في ربط الجاني بجنسيته عنصرية. فالمجرمون لا يعرفون ربّاً. واللطف مع الأشرار أحياناً جريمة ضدّ النفس. لذا، فلنعترف – بعيداً عن أيّ عنصرية – أن الفقر يؤدي أحيانا الى الجريمة. والسوريون – بعض السوريين – الذين يعيشون بيننا، مثل الفطر، أصبحوا يأكلون من أطباقنا ويبصقون فيها. فهل هي عنصرية أن يطالب اللبنانيون بأن يغادروا أرضهم؟ هل علينا أن نسامح؟ من الآخر، التسامح يصبح جريمة عندما يُطبق على الشرّ.

وكلما غصنا في الحالات كلما تأكدنا أكثر أن السكاكين في أيدي السوريين وجيوبهم قد أصبحت خطراً عظيماً في البلاد. فهؤلاء قد لا يحملون سلاحاً تلتقطه أجهزة الإنذار بل يكفيهم سكين في الجيب وكيس نايلون و«مغيطة» وشرشف ممزق، كما الأدوات التي استخدمت يوم قتلت ريا الشدياق بعد اغتصابها.
حيّ «الدوامرة»… النهار للمساكين و«الزعرنة بالليل»

نسأله عن الحيّ فيجيب بالمختصر المفيد: «كلو دعارة» يضيف «الأفريقيات يعملن في الدعارة والزبائن رجال مسنون يملكون المال. داهمت شرطة الآداب الحيّ منذ أيام وأخذت نحو مئة فتاة وهناك مئات بعد (…)».

لكن، ما هو سيئ أن كل المالكين، من كل الطوائف، قرروا أن لا يؤجروا إلا لحاملي الدولارات الفريش. وفي حال المباني التي يملكونها فهي لا تليق إلا بالأفريقيات ومشغليهن. وهذا ما كان.

ثلاثة أطفال يلعبون أمام متجر لبيع المواد الغذائية، يطرحون على بعضهم حزازير: واحد يملك خمس تفاحات أعطى ثانياً أربع فكم تفاحة بقي معه؟ يجيب رفيقه: تفاحة واحدة. يردّ ضاحكا: غلط. يحاول الطفلان الآخران حلّ الحزورة عبثاً وحين يقولان: «كعينا» يجيبهم السائل: خمس تفاحات فهو عاد وسرقها مجدداً. حزورة قد لا نسمعها إلا من أطفال هذا النوع من الأحياء.

ثلاث فتيات يتّشحن بالأسود نسألهنّ عن فلسطينهم في الذاكرة والعيش فيجبنَ: نحن سوريات. السوريون بات عددهم كبيراً أيضاً في مخيم اللاجئين الفلسطينيين في ضبيه. نسألهم عن سوريا فيجبنَ عن العوز الى المياه وندرة الكهرباء في المخيم. نخبرهم أن حال البلاد والعباد، على تنوّع جنسياتهم، هكذا، مثلهن، فيجبنَ: لكننا لاجئون ونازحون ويجب أن يلتفتوا الى حاجاتنا. اللاجئون والنازحون إعتادوا على المساعدات أما أهل البلد فيعرفون أن لهم الله، والله وحده. وهذا هو الفارق في الأيام التعيسة اليوم.

ويستطرد [قندلفت كنيسة مارجرجس شارل مالك/ فلسطيني]: «(…) الفلسطينيون مثل اللبنانيين لا ينجبون كثيراً والزيجات تراجعت كثيراً اما السوري فلا يهمه شيء «يبزّر» كثيراً ولا يوجد بيت سوري في المخيم فيه اقل من ستة اولاد. هؤلاء يتكاثرون بشكل سريع. ونتوقع ان يقوم الفلسطينيون في المخيم قريباً بتأجير منازلهم هنا، الى سوريين، والسكن خارجه، مثلما حصل في مخيم شاتيلا الذي أصبح معظم سكانه «غربيي» وهذا ما يحصل أيضاً في مخيم برج البراجنة. السوريون، على ما تبدو الصورة، باقون إلى أبد الآبدين».
Nawal Nasr
The Journalist Nawal Nasr, an investigative writer for Nidaa Al-Watan newspaper, must be looking for superiority in her work, and she even works very hard for it. Otherwise, how can we explain her distinction over others, like her colleagues in the profession, in language, style and content, by constantly expressing her racism and hatred not only of Syrian refugees, even if they are really at the center of her concern and attention, but also of foreign workers, of the impoverished and of Palestinians too.

Is it enough to chant: expel the displaced Syrians?

But the murders cannot be deterred. Myriam Al-Ashkar, Raya Al-Shidyak, Joseph Tawk, Elie Matta… the list goes on and on… and the perpetrators are Syrians. Is it a chance or is it premeditated crimes? Syrians – some Syrians – those who are weak, may become predatory monsters if they are given the opportunity to, and especially if they feel hatred for life and society. The tragedy, every time, lies within the silence of the good people, not only the injustice of the bad ones!

We learned to say when a murderer commits a crime: “The criminal did this”, rather than saying a Syrian, a Palestinian, an American, a French, a Lebanese, or an Iraqi committed a crime. Because linking the perpetrator to his nationality is racist. Criminals do not know God. Being kind to the wicked is sometimes a crime against oneself. So, let us acknowledge – away from any racism – that poverty sometimes leads to misdeeds. And that Syrians – some Syrians – who live among us, like mushrooms, have come to eat from our plates yet spit in them. Is it racist for the Lebanese to demand that they leave their land? Should we forgive them? Alternatively, tolerance becomes a crime when applied to vileness.

The more we delve into the cases, the more we are certain that the knives in the hands and pockets of Syrians have become a great danger to the country. They may not carry a weapon that the alarm machines could catch, but a knife in the pocket, a nylon bag, a “hair tie” and a torn sheet are enough for them, as well as the tools that were used on the day Raya al-Shidyak was raped then murdered.

We asked him about the neighborhood, and he answered briefly: “It is all prostitution,” adding, “African women work in prostitution, and the customers are old men who have money. Three children are playing in front of a food store, posing riddles to each other: one has five apples, he gave another one four apples, how many does he have left? His friend answers: one apple. Three girls covered in black, were asked about Palestine in their memory and about their way of life, so they answered: We are Syrians. Syrians are also numerous inside Palestinian refugee camp of Dbayeh. We ask them about Syria, and they respond with “the lack of water and the scarcity of electricity inside the camp.” We tell them that the general situation of the country and the people, despite their diversity of nationalities, is the same, so they respond: But we are refugees and displaced people, so they must pay attention to our needs. Refugees and displaced people are accustomed to aid, but the people of the country know that they have God, and God only. And this is the difference in today’s miserable days.

And [the sacriston of saint gerges church, Charles Malik / a Palestinian] goes on: “(…) Palestinians, like the Lebanese, do not have much children, and their marriages’ rates have declined a lot. As for the Syrians, they do not care about anything, they “profuse” a lot, and there is no Syrian house in the camp that has less than six children. It is fast, and we expect that the Palestinians in the camp will soon put their homes for rent, to Syrians, and live outside of it, just like what happened in the camp of Shatila, whose residents have become “strangers,” and this is what is also happening in Burj al-Barajneh camp. It seems that Syrians are staying forever and ever.”
