يتباهى رئيس بلدية رأس المتن رجا أبو إرسلان، في اتصال مع إذاعة صوت لبنان، بفرضه رسماً خاصاً أقرب إلى «الخوة» على اللاجئين/ات السوريين/ات كبدل للخدمات التي تقدمها البلدية (جمع النفايات والصرف الصحي). ويتباهى علناً، أيضاً، بتجاهله تنبهياً من قبل وزارة الداخلية يُعلمه بأن هذا الإجراء مخالف للقانون، وإن كان قد خفض الرسم من 6 إلى 3 دولارات. 

The municipality of Ras al-Matn demands a “sum from profits” from the Syrian refugees

The head of the municipality of Ras al-Matn, Raja Abou Arslan, brags, in a call with “the Voice of Lebanon” radio station, that he imposes a special fee that is a sum or an amount from Syrian refugees’ gains as a substitute for the services provided by the municipality (waste collection and sewage).  He also publicly takes pride in ignoring a warning from the Ministry of Interior informing him that this procedure is illegal, albeit he had reduced the fee from 6 to 3 dollars.
