المجلس الإسلامي الشيعي الأعلى، الذي يحرم نساء من حقهن بحضانة أطفالهن ولا يحميهن من العنف الأسري، استضاف الثلاثاء، في 11 تموز 2023، في مقره في طريق المطار، ندوة بعنوان «مخاطر تهدد الأمن الاجتماعي في لبنان: الشذوذ نموذجاً»، عند الساعة الخامسة من بعد الظهر.
ليس موضوع الندوة الهوموفوبي وحده ما يثير الاهتمام، إذا ما قورن بدور المجلس بهدم حيوات نساء كثيرات، بل اسم الجهة الداعية أيضاً: «اللقاء التنسيقي لصون الأسرة والقيم في المجلس الإسلامي الشيعي الأعلى».
لا بد أن الشيخ علي الخطيب، نائب رئيس المجلس، شرح في كلمته خلال الندوة المنتظرة كيف تُصان الأسر والقيم بقمع النساء وإذلالهن وحرمانهن من أبسط حقوقهن، كما بتهديد وجود المثليين/ات بالتهويل بشأن أخطارهم/ن المؤامراتية على المجتمع.
Besides women, the Supreme Islamic Shia Council now threatens the safety of the lgbt community
On Tuesday, July 11, at 5 pm, the Supreme Islamic Shia Council, which denies women the right to child custody and does not protect them from domestic violence, will host a seminar, at its headquarters on the Airport Road, entitled “Threats to Social Security in Lebanon: Homosexuality as an Example.”
Not only is the topic of the homophobic seminar interesting considering the Council’s role in destroying the lives of numerous women, but the name of the organizing group, “a Coordinating Meeting in the Higher Islamic Shia Council for the Preservation of Family and Values” is also noteworthy.
Sheikh Ali al-Khatib, Vice President of the Council, will certainly make a speech during this anticipated seminar and expand further on how to protect families and values by oppressing women and depriving them of their most basic rights and, surely, will he enlighten us on how the presence of homosexuals is a threat, a conspiracy, greatly endangering our society.
