لن يحاسب أي من الشبيحة القواتيين المشاركين في الاعتداء على السوريين/ات، مساء أمس الاثنين. ليس الغضب وحده، بعد خطف وقتل منسق القوات اللبنانية في جبيل باسكال سليمان، ما سيبرر هذا العنف، بل سياق عام من تجريم السوريين/ات، كتلة واحدة، عززته وشرعنته في الأشهر (والسنوات) الماضية، سلطة النهب والميليشيات الحزبية وإعلام التضليل والتحريض.
هكذا، يبدو بديهياً أن تصر القوات على اتهام حزب الله بالجريمة، مشككة ببيانات الجيش (غير المسؤولة والتحريضية، بالمناسبة)، معتبرة مقتل سليمان «إغتيالاً سياسياً»، بينما يضرب شبيحتها السوريين/ات في الشوارع.

لن يحاسب أي من الشبيحة القواتيين المشاركين في الاعتداء على السوريين/ات. ليس لأن المعتدي فوق القانون، بل لأن الضحية (السوريين/ات) التي تُلام على وجودها المجرد، باعتباره «خطراً وجودياً»، يجب أن تُعاقب في أي لحظة ولأي سبب أو حتى من دونه.
هكذا، يبدو بديهياً أن تُسرب الأجهزة الأمنية خبراً لجريدة النهار، مساء الاثنين، بأنها أوعزت (بأي صلاحية قانونية؟ لا أحد يعرف) للبلديات بمنع تجول السوريين/ات «عمالاً ونازحين» في نطاقاتها اليوم الثلاثاء.
المعتدي حر وفخور بما فعله. يستعد لجولة عنف أخرى، بمعية سلطة أمنية لا تردعه، بل تحميه -من نفسه؟- بسجن جماعي للمعتدى عليهم/ن.

في الفيديو الأكثر وضوحاً، الذي قيل إنه صُور في ذوق مكايل، كان الشبيح القواتي الغاضب يسأل الشاب، السوري، بعدما أخرجه من سيارته وسحله على الأرض، «إنتَ من وين؟ من حلب؟». كأنه كان يبحث عن مبرر عنفه بتحديد وتوصيف جريمة عدوه، قبل أن يستكمل ضربه وسحله.
Lebanese Forces Militia Attacks Syrians

None of the Lebanese Forces thugs involved in the attack on Syrians will be held accountable. Not only anger, from the abduction and killing of Lebanese Forces coordinator Pascal Suleiman in Jbeil, justifies this violence, but a broader context of criminalizing Syrians as a whole. This context has been reinforced and legitimized over the past months (and years) by the authority of looting, sectarian militias, misleading media, and incitement.
Obviously, the Lebanese Forces insist on accusing Hezbollah of the crime, casting doubt on the army’s (irresponsible and inflammatory) statements, by considering Suleiman’s killing as a “political assassination,” while its thugs attack Syrians in the streets.

None of the Lebanese Forces thugs involved in the attack on Syrians will be held accountable. Not because the assailant is above the law, but because the victim (Syrians) who are blamed for their mere existence, deemed as an “existential threat,” must be punished at any moment and for any reason, or even without one.
Evidently, the security agencies leaked news to Al-Nahar newspaper on Monday evening that they instructed (by what legal authority? No one knows) municipalities to prohibit the movement of Syrian workers and displaced persons within their jurisdictions on Tuesday.
The attacker is at liberty and proud of his actions. He is gearing up for another spree of violence, accompanied by a security authority that fails to deter him, instead protecting him – from himself? – through mass incarceration of those he victimizes.

In the clearest video, reportedly filmed in Zouk Mkayel, the enraged Lebanese Forces thug asked the young Syrian, after pulling him out of his car and dragging him on the ground, “Where are you from? Aleppo?” As if he was seeking justification for his violence by pinpointing and describing his enemy’s crime, before continuing to drag and beat him.
