50 ألف دولار، هو المبلغ المطلوب كفدية لإطلاق سراح الشاب السوري أحمد مطلق، الذي خطف في الهرمل.
أحمد شاب صغير من حمص، يتيم الأبوين. أتى إلى لبنان، ليعيل اخوته الصغار في سوريا.
قبل يومين، في 25 أيار 2024، ظهر أحمد في فيديو يطلب فيه المساعدة من أصدقائه لتأمين الفدية، قائلاً «عم موت ما تتركوني، بعرف انو المبلغ كبير، بس لا تتركوني مشان الله».
في الفيديو، تبدو آثار التعذيب واضحة على جسده. وقد ذكر أنه تعرض للضرب والتعذيب والصعق بالكهرباء، وأنه يعيش على الماء فحسب، بلا طعام.
أحمد ليس الشاب الأول الذي يتعرض للخطف والتعذيب بهدف الابتزاز، في الأشهر الأخيرة. إذ إن شابين سوريين آخرين -على الأقل-، هما محمد شباط ومحمد عماد، طالب خاطفوهما بدفع فدية لإطلاق سراحهما.
The series of kidnapping Syrian youths in Lebanon continues
$50,000 is the ransom demanded for the release of the young Syrian man, Ahmed Matlaq, who was kidnapped in Hermel.
Ahmed is a young man from Homs, orphaned by both parents. He came to Lebanon to support his younger siblings in Syria.
Two days ago, on May 25, 2024, Ahmed appeared in a video pleading for help from his friends to secure the ransom, saying, “I’m dying, don’t leave me. I know the amount is large, but don’t leave me, for God’s sake.”
In the video, the signs of torture are evident on his body. He mentioned being beaten, tortured, and electrocuted, and that he is surviving on water alone, without food.
Ahmed is not the first young man to be kidnapped and tortured for extortion in recent months. At least two other Syrian youths, Mohammad Shabbat and Mohammad Emad, have also been abducted, with their captors demanding ransom for their release.
