ليست هذه المرة الأولى التي يتعرض فيها أفراد من مجتمع الميم لابتزاز وتهديد من منتحلي/ات صفة محامين/ات أو رجال أمن. وقد شاع في الآونة الماضية أن يتلقى أحدهم/ن اتصالاً من سيدة تدعي أنها محامية تبلغهم/ن فيه برفع دعوى قضائية ضدهم/ن، إن لم يدفعوا لها مبلغاً محدداً من المال.
وهذا ما حصل في 10 حزيران 2024، حين تلقى شخصان مكالمة هاتفية من امرأة عرّفت عن نفسها بأنها المحامية كاتيا سعادة. وأخبرتهما أنها تحضر حالياً ملفاً ضد 42 شخصاً، واسمهما مدرج في القضية. أما التهمة، فهي أنهما مارسا الجنس مع قاصر يدعى حسين. والمطلوب منهما، إذا أرادا شطب اسمهما، أن يدفعا 350 دولاراً، كدفعة أولى.
“قالت لي أنه في حال عدم دفع المبلغ، ستنشر أسماءنا جميعاً عبر برنامج تلفزيوني، وأنها تملك العديد من البيانات ضدي”، يقول أحد الشابين.
وفي محاولة لإيهام ضحيتي الابتزاز أن المسألة جدية، تلقى كل منهما اتصالين آخرين. الأول، ادعى أنه رقيب في مخفر بعبدا، فيما زعم الثاني أنه رقيب من مخفر الرملة البيضا.

Warning: Gang extorting members of the LGBT community
This isn’t the first time where members of the LGBT community have been subjected to extortion and threats from individuals impersonating lawyers or security personnel. Recently, there have been reports of people receiving a call from a woman claiming to be a lawyer, threatening them with a lawsuit if they don’t pay the requested amount of money.
This occurred on June 10, 2024, when two individuals received a phone call from a woman who introduced herself as lawyer Katia Saadeh. She informed them that she was currently preparing a case against 42 individuals, and that their names are included in the case. The alleged charges were their engagement in sexual activity with a minor named Houssein. She demanded that they pay $350 as an initial payment if they wish to be excluded from the claims
One of the young men recounted, “She told me that if we don’t pay the amount, she will publicly disclose all our names through a television program, claiming she has substantial incriminating evidence against me.”
In an attempt to convince the extortion victims of the legitimacy of the matter, each of them received two more calls following the first incident. The first caller claimed to be a sergeant at the Baabda precinct, while the second claimed to be a sergeant from the Ramlet al-Baida precinct.
