في 24 تموز 2025، بدأت حسابات على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي نشر صورة لمجموعة من الأسلحة، زعمت أن الجيش صادرها بعد توقيفه سوريين/ات في دوحة عرمون. بالتزامن، كانت حسابات أخرى تنشر الصورة نفسها، مدعية أنها لأسلحة ضبطت بعد توقيف 30 سورياً في أنطلياس، وتحديداً في حارة الغوارنة.
الخبران كذب طبعاً. الصورة، في الأصل، ملتقطة في سوريا. وهي، وفق ما أعلنت السلطات السورية في 26 كانون الثاني 2025، تعود إلى شحنة أسلحة ضبطتها في مدينة سرغايا (ريف دمشق)، كانت متجهة إلى لبنان.
على أن هذين الخبرين ليسا بلا هدف. منذ نحو شهر، كثرت الأخبار الملفقة عن توقيف سوريين ينتمون إلى تنظيم داعش، في سياق التحريض ضدهم. وأقله، في اليومين الماضيين، تُداولت أخبار عن توقيف خليتين في عاليه ودوحة عرمون، حيث نُشر فيديو مجهول المصدر (قيل إنه صور في دوحة عرمون) يظهر توقيف أشخاص، مرفق بخبر عن توقيف 150 سورياً. وهو ما نفاه مصدر أمني لجريدة النهار، في 22 تموز.
Weapons Are Not Seized from Syrians in Antelias or Dawhet Aramoun
On July 24, 2025, several social media accounts began circulating a photo showing a cache of weapons, claiming that the Lebanese Army had seized them following the arrest of a group of Syrians in Dawhet Aramoun. Simultaneously, other accounts shared the same image, asserting instead that the weapons were confiscated after the detention of 30 Syrians in Antelias, specifically in the Al-Ghawarneh neighborhood.
Both claims are certainly false. The photo was originally taken in Syria and, according to a statement issued by Syrian authorities on January 26, 2025, shows a shipment of weapons seized in the city of Serghaya, in the Damascus countryside. The shipment was reportedly heading to Lebanon.
These reports are not without purpose. For nearly a month, fabricated stories about the arrest of Syrians allegedly linked to ISIS have been spreading, fueling incitement against them. In the past two days alone, claims circulated about the arrest of two cells in Aley and Dawhet Aramoun. An unverified video—said to have been filmed in Dawhet Aramoun—was shared, purportedly showing the arrest of several individuals, accompanied by allegations that 150 Syrians had been detained. However, a security source denied these claims to An-Nahar on July 22.
