على مدار الأشهر الثلاثة الأخيرة، قامت مخابرات الجيش بإلزام الشاويش المسؤول عن كل مخيم في مناطق عنجر، زحلة والعمرية بالإشراف على إزالة أجهزة الراوتر والطاقة الشمسية – إن وجدت –  من خيم اللاجئين/ات السوريين/ات، واصفةً إياها بـ«الممنوعات».

ويترافق التبليغ مع تهديد بإجراء مداهمة في أي لحظة للتأكد من تنفيذ التعليمات، مع احتمال دفع غرامة والترحيل.

وسبق لمخابرات الجيش أن داهمت، في تشرين الأول 2022، أكثر من سبعة مخيمات ضمن البقاع، بهدف مصادرة أجهزة الراوتر منها، تخللتها اعتداءات جسدية ولفظية على اللاجئين/ات.

Army Intelligence blocks communication from Syrian refugees 

Over the past three months, the Army Intelligence has obligated the “Shawish”, that is the person responsible of every camp in Anjar, Zahle, and Omariya, in supervising the elimination of routers and solar panels -if any were found- from Syrian refugees’ tents, describing them as “prohibited”. 

This information is accompanied with threats of conducting raids at the camps at any moment, to guarantee that these instructions are implemented, with the risk of having to pay a penalty or get deported. 

In October 2022, the Army Intelligence raided more than seven camps in the Bekaa Valley, with the intention of confiscating routers. The raids included physically and verbally assaulting the refugees.
